CBS snared the first sit-down with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. He answered or dodged questions about his handling of the Ray Rice scandal, speaking with “CBS This Morning” co-host Norah O’Donnell.
The network will run the interview in pieces, part on the Evening News, part on CBS This Morning.
The first bit of the interview:
O’DONNELL: To be clear, did you know that a second tape existed?
GOODELL: Well, we had not seen any videotape of what occurred in the elevator. We assumed that there was a video. We asked for a video. We asked for anything thatap pertinent. But we were never granted that opportunity.
