Interview with Rod and Cindy McCall, owners

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: Our daughter-in-law was working at Stonegate when the owners indicated that they were thinking of selling. With our son, Buddy Lee, and his wife, Ariana, having more than 25 years in the restaurant business, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for a family-run business.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: We offer a relaxed atmosphere with great food and large portions at a reasonable price. Our soup of the day is made from scratch every morning. But, most of all, we were named “Best Breakfast in Parker” by Douglas County Living 2014.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: Getting to know our customers.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Not compromising the quality of our food while keeping the price reasonable.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: As we mentioned already, Stonegate Cafe was voted “Best Breakfast in Parker” by Douglas County Living 2014.
