The campaign managers for Democrat Mark Udall and Republican Cory Gardner in Colorado’s U.S. Senate race took to Twitterverse this afternoon to talk about polling:
Udall campaign manager Adam Dunstone:
It’s a tight race, was always going to be that way. Internals have been steady, no wild swings like you see in the news. 1/2
— Adam Dunstone (@Adam_Dunstone)
Lots of noise this week, but all internals since March have Udall leading, with last two 47/42 & 48/42. Onward! 2/2
— Adam Dunstone (@Adam_Dunstone)
Gardner campaign manager Chris Hansen:
Tweeting ‘internals’ and a buck fifty gets you a cup of coffee
— Chris Hansen (@tankcat)
Those tweets inspired others, including surprise that Udall, for the first time, had discussed internals.
Quinnipiac University today released a poll that showed the Republican challenger, Bob Beauprez, with a surprising over the incumbent governor, Democrat John Hickenlooper. Quinnipiac on Thursday will release its poll on the U.S. Senate race, which might have inspired the tweets.
