After , has delivered. Today, the new Kendrick Lamar song, “i,” has officially dropped, marking the Compton rapper’s first new material since “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” two years ago.
K Dot crushes the track with rapid fire flow and the tactical whit of an expert wordsmith. The sample that you’ve heard a million times on television plugging the Swiffer is “That Lady” by the Isley Brothers. However, the Rahki-produced “i” flips the script and uses the luscious guitar riffs as a vibrant landscape.
This is the first single off his upcoming new album, which is yet to have a title or release date.
