Re: “Parents of theater shooting victim file suit against ammo suppliers,” Sept. 17 news story.

While we all sympathize with the parents of this victim, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence — which has no standing in this case whatsoever — is victimizing them again. This case has no chance of being decided in the favor of these parents.

A reading of Vesely vs. Armslist LLC, which was decided on Aug. 12, will give a preview of the outcome of this case. [A federal court found that online gun dealer Armslist was not liable for the death of a woman killed with a gun purchased on its website.] Simply replace the word “firearms” with the word “ammunition” and the result will become more than obvious to even the casual reader.

It is a shame that the Brady campaign is using this family so shamelessly for the advancement of their political agenda.
