It seems is making up for lost time. After releasing “The Next Day” in 2013 — his first album in a decade — Bowie is churning out the material. His that Bowie will release another album of new material “soon.”

Now, coming from an artist who took 10 years to release an album, this timeline could be anywhere from a few months to a few years. But still, it’s promising. And however long the wait is, it will hopefully be well worth it.

Along with being nominated for the Mercury Prize, Bowie’s return was commercially successful and drew fantastic reviews.

The other good news here? Visconti also produced “The Next Day.”

But at this point, it doesn’t seem like there will be a tour in support of the new material.

“He clearly didn’t promote ‘The Next Day’ with a concert and whether he does for the next one I don’t know and I couldn’t predict that — it’s up to him,” Visconti said. “It’s whatever takes his fancy.”
