Tokyo Joe’s puts tasty savings on its menu with three weekly “Joe’s Specials.” On Sundays, kids can eat for just $1 with any adult entrée purchase all day. On Mondays, it’s 2-for-1 sushi from 4 p.m. to closing. Finally, on Saturdays, customers can unwind with a beer for $1 with any adult entrée purchase all day. It’s easy to get crafty this weekend across the metro area. Lakeshore Learning (8680A Park Meadows Center Drive in Littleton) celebrates the company’s 60th birthday with a free party on Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In true Lakeshore style, the event has arts and crafts projects for the kiddos, including crazy ’60s glasses and party-hat decorating. Everyone receives a free goodie bag filled with party favors. Another artful option: Michaels, the arts-and-crafts supply store, hosts free Family Craft Time sessions on Sept. 27 from noon to 3 p.m. Create a handprinted “BOO” banner for Halloween or a washi tape sticker bookmark. The whole family is welcome to drop into any session, but supplies are limited, so get to your store early.
