The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation following the discovery Monday of a body in a canal at Barr Lake State Park.
A spokesman for the department said the victim has not been identified. Also, the cause of death, or how long the body was in the water has not been determined.
“We have to wait for the coroner’s findings,” the spokesman said.
According to officials, the body was discovered by a jogger at about 9:15 a.m. The runner told a park ranger, who contacted the sheriff’s office.
