Friday through nov. 2. Li’l ghouls take note:
Elitch Gardens is bringing back its “Fright Fest” Halloween programming for the next five weekends starting on Oct. 3. Beginning at noon on Saturdays and Sundays, children can haunt the Trick or Treat Trail for “free” candy (i.e. included in the admission price) and partake in pumpkin decorating, a hay maze and costume contests as part of the Family by Day activities. Heralded by a creepy Hearse Parade at 6 p.m., the Friday-through-Sunday Fright by Night for braver souls includes haunted houses like Flesh Factory: Outbreak and Terror Chamber 2, the not-for-the-squeamish “Parade of Freaks” sideshow, “Séance” storytelling, and hordes of undead roaming the park. Our favorite? The “Hurl” teacup ride, juiced up with fog and strobe lights. Various times through Nov. 2. 2000 Elitch Circle. $34.99-$75. 303-595-4386 or . John Wenzel
