Part of an apartment complex in Highlands Ranch was evacuated early Thursday morning as a precaution after a disturbance that apparently involved a man and a woman.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the apartment complex in the 8300 block of South Peddle Way at 3:40 a.m. a welfare check after a disturbance.
Witnesses told deputies the man locked a woman out. They also said there may have been a shot fired.
Deputies were in standoff with the man for about three hours. He was arrested around 6:30 a.m.
