A whale of a time
On tour from the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, “Whales: Giants of the Deep” opens Oct. 10 at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The exhibit profiles the origin of whales that extends back 50 million years and includes skeletons, skulls, digital interactives, rare artifacts and more. Museumgoers can even crawl through a life-size replica of the heart of a blue whale. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission varies.
