BOULDER — The Boulder City Council will review on Tuesday a possible $30,000 settlement agreement in litigation brought against the city by a bicyclist injured two years ago in an accident involving a motorcycle-riding police officer.
City Manager Jane Brautigam, City Attorney Tom Carr and Police Chief Greg Testa have all recommended the council approve the settlement.
The lawsuit stems from an August 2012 incident in which Dustin Kellogg, 34, of Allenspark suffered what doctors called a “commuted fracture” of his left kneecap.
According to an incident report, Boulder police Officer Bradley Frederking was astride a motorcycle near the intersection of 11th and Pearl streets and collided with Kellogg after making a right turn.
