The String Cheese Incident this week announced what is likely to be the biggest musical New Year’s Eve bash in Colorado, its third consecutive year of Dec. 29-31 shows at the 1stBank Center. Crazy costumes, aerial dancers and a killer light show are, we trust, just around the corner. The general public on-sale begins at 10 a.m. Oct. 11. ($49.50-$84.50, or $168-$192 three-day passes; )
What’s more interesting: the fact that Billy Idol is touring again, or the fact that he chose buzzy indie band Broncho (whose album “Just Enough Hip to Be Woman” is jockeying for best-of-the-year status) to open for him? Given the rocker’s output of late, we’re going with the latter. Tickets for Idol’s Feb. 9 concert at the Paramount Theatre are on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 10. ($49.50-$79.50, )

At 37, prolific Atlanta hip-hop artist Jeezy has dropped the “Young” from his stage name, which only makes sense, since his new album is called “Seen It All: The Autobiography.” Tickets for Jeezy’s Nov. 25 show at the Ogden Theatre are on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 10. ($33.95, )
