Hallowed brews
A Haunted Brew Fest comes to Colorado Springs on Oct. 18. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Colorado Springs Event Center will transform into a beer-friendly Halloween town with samples from more than 50 breweries, a costume contest, a car and hearse show, visits from the Colorado Springs All Girl Paranormal Society, a psychic medium and other special guests. Tickets are $25 for general admission or $55 for a VIP ticket.
Family Howl-o-Ween
Centennial Village in Greeley will hold Howl-o-Ween on Oct. 25 and 26. Families with children can trick-or-treat with historical figures, play Halloween-themed carnival games and participate in costume contests.
Have a Ball
Trinidad’s Annual Black and White Western Ball is Oct. 25 at the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art. Featuring live country-western music, line dancing, a silent auction and a live auction of homemade desserts. Tickets are $35 and include dinner and dancing. The fun begins at 6 p.m. and ends at midnight.
Day of the bighorn
The ninth annual Bighorn Sheep Festival in Georgetown is Nov. 8. With sheep-viewing opportunities, tours and wildlife programs at the Gateway Visitor Center, plus guided hikes, children’s activities, music and more.
