A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle in southwest Denver Friday night suffered serious injuries.
The Denver Police Department issued a Twitter post on the accident just after 9 p.m.
The pedestrian was hit near the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Amherst Avenue, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
The southbound lanes of Federal were closed at Amherst after the accident. Further details were not immediately released.
