Denver police are investigating a shooting early Tuesday that left a man critically injured.

The shooting happened in the 6200 block of East 14th Avenue about 3 a.m., police said. Investigators said they are searching for a suspect, but have not released any details or suspect information.

A the victim walked into a McDonald’s at East Colfax Avenue and Krameria Street at 2:50 a.m. seeking help.

Investigators towed a white Chevrolet Suburban from the scene that appeared to have several windows smashed. It was believed to be involved in the shooting, police said.

Bullet holes were found in a plate-glass window of a nearby 7-Eleven.
