The Metro State men’s basketball team received 12-of-14 first-place votes to top the 2014-15 RMAC men’s basketball presason coaches poll.
The Roadrunners were the RMAC regular season and tournament champions each of the last two seasons. In 2012-13, they were the NCAA D-II national runners-up.
UC-Colorado Springs received the remaining first-place votes to finish second, followed by Colorado School of Mines and Fort Lewis.
UC-Colorado Springs junior guard Derrick White, who graduated from Legend, is the preseason player of the year, and Fort Lewis senior center Alex Herrera, from Ignacio, is the preseason defensive player of the year.
