It has been quite the week for artists. On Monday, Denver comedian and on Tuesday joined for a performance of “Dearly Departed” on “Conan.”
Patterson stood side-by-side Shakey Graves’ Alejandro Rose-Garcia front and center on the Conan stage as the two played through the track off “And the War Came” (which was released last week). Clapping and cooing, Rose-Garcia and Patterson gave a delightful and relaxed performance. Backed by a drummer and a lap steel guitar player, the group built it up to a country screamer.
Quickly becoming a favorite in Colorado, Shakey Graves will return to Denver to play the Bluebird Theater in December. After selling out two nights, the Shakey Graves run has been expanded to three nights. Shakey Graves and Esme Patterson hit the road today for a lengthy tour that will hit the Bluebird on Dec. 11-13.
Just last month, Patterson announced her With the split mutual, she’ll be focusing on her solo project and embarking on this fall tour with Shakey Graves.
Earlier this year, both at SXSW in March.
