A man accused in a 2011 stun-gun kidnapping and attempted sexual assault, ak, has been found guilty.
Clifton Williams, 40, was found guilty Wednesday of second-degree kidnapping, attempted sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact and third-degree assault, the Denver District Attorney’s Office said.
Williams did not hear the jury’s verdict because he “failed to return to court” and is now a wanted man, the office said.
Prosecutors said Williams attacked a 27-year-old woman on the 2200 block of South Broadway during the early morning hours of July 24, 2011. The victim was walking home when he grabbed her from behind and attacked before she was able to escape and flag down a passing car.
Williams, who is 5-foot-10 and weights 185 pounds, was out on a $60,000 bond.
Anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call local law enforcement.
