Eastbound U.S. 36 has reopened after being closed because of an accident Thursday afternoon near West 104th Avenue.
Although the highway reopened about 4:30 p.m., backups were still extensive.
The highway had been closed between Church Ranch Boulevard and Sheridan Boulevard.
There are no reported injuries in the three-vehicle accident.
