The have certainly shown their range this week. Now on their third day of a week-long stay on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” Foo Fighters showed their bluesy side and emotional side. joined Foo Fighters on Wednesday to perform his hit “Polk Salad Annie.” Then after the performance, they played a request from Letterman to play “Miracle.”
“These gentlemen, we’ve known each other for a long long time now,” Letterman said. “They have crossed my path in ways unexpected and expected. And, as a result, each and every year they grow to mean more to me as human beings and talents musical artists.”
The touching take on “Miracle” left Letterman in tears.
The Foo Fighters have already performed with Heart’s Anne and Nancy Wilson and country rocker Zac Brown this week.
Tonight the band is rumored to play their new single, “Something From Nothing.”
