Authorities in Boulder County rescued a man Sunday after he fell about 50 feet in Eldorado Canyon State Park, leaving him seriously injured.
The 42-year-old man was descending the West Ridge Wall about 5 p.m. when he fell, the county sheriff’s office said in a news release. The man’s climbing partner and others nearby summoned help.
“A technical rescue was required by rescue personnel,” the office said. “The man was carried to an ambulance and ultimately airlifted.”
The man was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital about 8 p.m.
Updates on the man’s condition were not immediately available.
