The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said it’s investigating a possible attempted abduction near West 70th Avenue and Lipan Street that occurred around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to officials, a 13-year-old female reported that she was walking in the area when an unknown male pulled up next to her in a smaller, olive-drab colored van, exited the vehicle, and then started sprinting towards her.
The girl was able to evade the suspect by running away, the sheriffs office said.
The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 6-foot-2, skinny, with dark hair and brown eyes. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, blue jeans, and he had a blue bandana tied around his head covering the lower part of his face.
