Getting your player ready...

Pauline Dallenbach rehearses with the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra at the KPOF Hall in Denver in 2013. (Seth McConnell, The Denver Post)

I wanted to share an experience I had at the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra. I went there with my wife at the invitation of one of the violinists. The entire evening was wonderful, but the highlight for me was Beethoven’s 7th Symphony. The conductor was animated and communicated his enthusiasm for the music through the orchestra to the listeners. It seemed that the performers felt the same joy that I think Beethoven himself must have felt as he wrote the work. This group is a gem that I think everybody should know about. Ticket prices were very reasonable and anybody who wants to spend an uplifting evening would do well to attend.
