A man was shot and killed Monday night in the parking lot of a Walmart store in unincorporated Arapahoe County.
Chief Vince Line of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred sometime before 8:45 p.m. at the store at 1412 South Parker Road.
Line said one person of interest has been detained for questioning, but is not considered a suspect pending investigation. Neither he nor the 61-year-old victim were identified by the Sheriff’s office.
Line said there was no continuing threat to the community.
