Authorities in Adams County are investigating the possible attempted abduction of a 10-year-old on Thursday at a Brighton elementary school.
A man in a white pickup truck tried to lure the student about noon at Metz Elementary School on the 2300 block of Sherrelwood Drive. The student notified a teacher, who approached the truck driver before he sped away “at a high rate of speed.”
The teacher described the truck as a single cab, white pickup with a thick blue or teal stripe on the side.
The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information about the attempted abduction to call (303) 288-1535.
