Katy Brown is projected to keep her seat in the Cherry Hills Village City Council election, but three newcomers won in the unusually contentious municipal races, according to unofficial election results Wednesday afternoon.
Currently challenger Laura Christman is narrowly defeating incumbent Doug Tisdale for the Cherry Hills Village mayoral seat with 51 percent of the vote. She leads by 83 votes.
Brown, who ran for re-election in District 6, beat challenger Jim Turner with 67 percent of the vote.
Earl Hoellen defeated opponent Maria Mendelsberg with 66 percent of the vote for the District 2 seat. There was no incumbent.
Mike Gallagher beat opponent Lisa Pinto with 69 percent of the vote for the District 4 seat. There was no incumbent.
