1 Girlfriend arrested in motel dispute. A Lakewood police officer responded to King’s Rest Motel, 7013 W. Colfax Ave., on Oct. 23 in reference to a disturbance. A 52-year-old man told the officer that his girlfriend of about four weeks hit him in the face during an argument. The man said she then ran off with his wallet. She was located in her vehicle in the motel parking lot and arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.
2 Careless driver injures cyclist. On Nov. 1, Edgewater police officers responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of 25th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard between a bicyclist and her dog and a vehicle. The bicyclist sustained serious bodily injury and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle, a 65-year-old Denver man, was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and careless driving causing bodily injury.
3 Couple sought in Hobby Lobby thefts. The manager of Hobby Lobby, 7000 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood, called police Oct. 14 to report a theft. The manager said a male and female duo came into the store, stole some items and attempted to return them at a Hobby Lobby in Arvada. Police were able to obtain the suspects’ names and contact information from the return paperwork, but no arrests had been made at the time of this report.
4 Weaver arrested. On Nov. 2, an Edgewater police officer observed a vehicle weaving in the 2500 block of Sheridan Boulevard. A 23-year-old Wheat Ridge woman was arrested for failing to operate her vehicle in a single lane of traffic and DUI.
