Taylor Swift’s “1989” has sold more than 1 million copies in its first week, making it the first album to do so in 2014,

This also means Swift is the first artist to have three albums sell more than 1 million copies in a week. Her album “Speak Now” sold 1.047 million copies in 2010. And the last album to sell more than 1 million copies in a week was Swift’s “Red” in 2012.

On Monday, Swift announced a huge world tour in support of “1989,” which has the singer playing multiple dates in single markets. She’ll play two back to back nights at Denver’s Pepsi Center in September.
