BOULDER — RTD officials Friday said they are cooperating with Boulder police as investigators try to determine whether a bus was involved in a fatal hit-and-run Thursday night at the Boulder Transit Center.

Scott Reed, a spokesman with the transit agency, said that, at this time, RTD officials do not know for sure whether an RTD vehicle was involved in the incident.

“We have been fully cooperating with Boulder police and their investigation, and we’re waiting for police to come to a conclusion,” Reed said. “We do not have any additional information at this time. We are awaiting their findings.”

A man’s body was found at the south exit of the transit center at 1400 Walnut St. around 8:55 p.m. Thursday. The body had obvious signs of trauma, and officials said it appeared the victim, identified as a 62-year-old man, was hit by a vehicle.
