In an effort to boost attendance, the final three rounds of the 2015 Class 3A boys and girls state basketball tournament will be played at Lockridge Arena on the Colorado School of Mines campus in Golden, the Colorado High School Activities Association announced Thursday.
The quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games will be played from March 12-14, 2015.
The 3A tournaments were held at the Air Force Academy last season.
The arena has a capacity of about 3,000, and is home to the Orediggers’ men’s and women’s basketball teams.
The sites for the other state tournaments remain the same. Class 4A and 5A will be at the Denver Coliseum for the quarterfinals. The final three rounds of 2A will be played at CSU-Pueblo, and 1A will be played at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland. The 4A and 5A semifinals and championship games will be played at the Coors Events Center on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder.
