Interview with Karessa Lauvergeon, hairstylist

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: I’ve always had a passion for hair and making people feel beautiful. So I became a licensed hairstylist and have done extensive training in Miami and New York to be able to provide the most up-to-date styles with expertise color placement and precision cutting techniques.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: As we know, there are a million other hairstylists and salons out there so the only thing that I can think of that distinguishes us from the others is exceptional customer service. My clients always come first, and it’s all about them and their experience in my salon.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: That it’s a creative field. I can use my creativity to bring out the very best in people. I change looks, I change lives, and seeing my clients happy is the best feeling in the world.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Right now, just getting the word out and letting people know we are here and open for business.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: Not only are we a hair salon but we offer waxing, spray tanning, eyelash extensions and have a Barre studio in the building, too. Kind of like a one-stop-shop for the neighborhood.
