Black Friday Run

Nov. 28: The 5K along the High Line Canal is a benefit for South Suburban’s Community Recreation Scholarship Program. 9 a.m. packet pick-up and registration, 10 a.m. start. All ages and abilities welcome along with friendly dogs and strollers. $25, $15 ages 14 and under, $30/$20 on race day. Free for ages 6 and under. Louisville Turkey Trot 5K

Nov. 27: The annual Avista Adventist Hospital Louisville Turkey Trot 5K is a flat, family-friendly course. 9 a.m. start time. The race is free, participants are asked to donate nonperishable food or winter clothing for the Sister Carmen Community Center, which helps local families in need. A local business Expo follows with refreshments. Online registration is available through Nov. 25 or register on the day of the race. Strollers and pets on a leash are welcome. Mile High United Way Turkey Trot Nov. 27: “Run Your Yams Off” at the 41st annual four-mile run/ walk, a benefit for Mile High United Way. 8 a.m. registration and corrals open, 10 a.m. race begins, 10:15 a.m. first corral start (each additional corral will start every two minutes), 11 a.m. one-quarter mile Family Fun Run.
