Some, however, failed to realize the weight of the decision, even as cities around the nation were engulfed in riots. Adrian Peterson, the Vikings’ running back who is awaiting a hearing for the appeal of his suspension, made perhaps the most egregious comments Monday night, comparing his situation to that of Ferguson.
