1 Flowers sent with mean message. On Nov. 7, a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the10300 block of Rotherwood Circle of Highlands Ranch , where someone used a woman’s credit card without her permission, including buying flowers sent to her with the message “ho.” She did not know who did it.
2 Car repair fraud. On Nov. 18, a deputy spoke to a man who had met a man at Express Car Wash,9579 S. University Blvd., Highlands Ranch, who claimed to be able to repair vehicle hail damage. The man claimed to do some work for $300, but didn’t show up the next day. The man was using the cards of another man at a dent removal company.
3 Church theft. On Nov. 6, a deputy responded to Horizon Community Church, 2121 Dad Clark Drive, where a man had left his car unlocked at the site overnight. His laptop and iPad were stolen. He remotely wiped the computer’s drive.
4 Credit card fraud. On Nov. 8, a deputy was dispatched to the 12100 block of First Streetin Parker, where a man reported someone had opened up a credit card in his name without his permission. His account was put on fraud alert.
5 Tags stolen. On Nov. 7, a deputy took a phone call from a man who was stopped for not having tags and believed they may have been stolen when his car was parked at the RTD Lincoln light-rail station, 10203 Station Way, earlier the week before.
6 Cellphone taken. On Nov. 19, a deputy was dispatched for a crime that happened at Walmart,6675 Business Center Drive, where a man left his cellphone in the bathroom and it was taken.
