Remember 2003? Yeah! Of course you do, that was the year of “Yeah!” Did anything else happen in 2003 other than Usher sharing that synth horn hook with the world? Did we launch a war on Iraq? Did Lance Armstrong win his fifth Tour De France? Were we calling French Fries “Freedom Fries?” Possibly, but all we can remember is Usher dancing in a blue club with lasers, Lil Jon and Ludacris. For the better part of two decades, Usher has been one of the music industry’s hottest R&B artists. He’s so fresh that his dance moves and beats cloud our memories of world history. Usher returns to Colorado to play the 1stBank Center on Dec. 2. ($39-$154, )
People in Colorado must certainly love Jenny Lewis, as the singer-songwriter is returning to the state for her third show this year. She’s quick with a wink and a smile and her music is just as charming as her personality. At her shows, Jenny Lewis’ fans are adoring, singing every word and melting with every wink, every smile. You’ll certainly see how much she can light up a room when she plays the Ogden Theatre on Dec. 2. It’s her biggest headlining show in Colorado yet, and you can count on her bubbly demeanor filling the entire 1,700-person venue. ($26, )
