Two Fort Collins men have been arrested as murder suspects in connection with a missing person case.

Michael Louis Bensen, 45, and Patrick Austin Hannon, 51, are also being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and kidnapping, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office media release.

The two suspects were arrested on Wednesday in connection with a missing person report filed on Nov. 20, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office did not release further information, including a victim’s name, because of the ongoing investigation, the release said.

The arrests came a little more than a week after skeletal remains found near Red Feather Lakes Road in Larimer County. The remains were identified Sunday as those of 28-year-old Andrea Bartmess.

Bartmess was from the Denver area but was living in Fort Collins.
