Getting your player ready...

Village Homes’ is celebrating the holidays in Southshore, the master-planned neighborhood along Aurora Reservoir that already has that established look — clubhouse and trails in place; and lots of homeowners with their holiday lights already up. Tonight and tomorrow, Village wants to give you that holiday feeling with a ‘Festival of Lights’ at its ten Southshore models – all decked out, with holiday goodies provided by Gigi’s Cupcakes, Nothing Bundt Cakes and The Cookie Company, plus a Little Spike train for you and your kids to ride, and three professional caroling groups strolling the neighborhood and models to feed the spirit of the season.

You can warm up with a cocoa brewed by baristas from Espresso Affair; and while they last, you can take home a special ornament for your own tree after touring the models. And you’ll see Southshore’s holiday-lit Lakehouse center, where residents and kids come for activities year-round, with a saltwater pool and fitness center, and trails leading to shoreline around the 800-acre reservoir.

“This is a great community where the amenities are already in, rather than just on the drawing board,” says Nance Meyer, who’ll be on hand to greet you at Village’s Generations and Harmony collection models, off Shady Grove Way between E. Arapahoe and Southshore Parkway. That sense of arrival is getting even stronger now, Meyer adds: When you drive into Southshore past the two Cherry Creek schools campuses (Fox Ridge Middle and Cherokee Trail High) on Arapahoe, you’ll see a King Soopers that’s set to open in January; two miles from Southlands with its huge outdoor gallery of shops and dining.

You’ll also see a few homes that could have you living this waterfront lifestyle right away – including a Gentry ranch plan, on a very private cul-de-sac, with 2,279 square feet of finished space, plus basement and 3-car split garage. Village has the home specially priced at $465,000 providing you contract now and close by year end.

You can tour four total collections with ten models, including Village’s fast-selling Hometown Collection from as low as the $320s, Generations and Harmony Collections from the high $300s and $400s, and its Signature Collection from the $500s. Meyer will tell you all about the activities Lakehouse generates – a scene where you can really see residents out using their amenities. To reach from E470, head east on Smoky Hill Road past Southlands and continue two miles to Arapahoe Road, and turn left. Continue by the schools and then either continue past Powhaton to Shady Grove; or take a left on Powhaton to Southshore Parkway, then come in past the holiday-lit Clubhouse to Shady Grove.
