Getting your player ready...

Recent warm weather has delayed any chance of Front Range ice for a couple more weeks. The plus side is the stream fishing on Clear Creek, Big Thompson and Poudre rivers has been good. Midge and small nymph patterns are a good bet. Icers need to go high. Tarryall, Joe Wright and Chambers all should be good to ice fish. Most Red Feather waters have open water, as well as ice. Trout anglers will find fair action at Aurora and Chatfield. Up north, Horsetooth, St. Vrain State Park (Barbour Ponds) and Lon Hagler are all good bets for rainbows.
