An arrest has been made following a high-speed chase Wednesday afternoon that started in Golden, went through Morrison and ended just off of C-470.

According to a tweet from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle involved in the chase may be connected to an incident earlier Wednesday in which three people were shot and killed at a home in Adams County.

A spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect was driving a black Jeep and was apprehended at about 4:15 p.m.

According to reports, the chase Wednesday afternoon started on 6th Avenue, just outside Golden, when the suspect started driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes. At one point, Morrison Police entered the fray; the vehicle was finally stopped on Rooney Road, just off of C-470. At that point, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Morrison Police, Colorado School of Mines Police, Lakewood Police, and Golden Police were all on the scene.
