Castle Rock has passed a $280 million budget for 2015, with $189 million in expenditures and $91 million allocated for operations.

Next year’s budget includes $34.6 million to complete the North Meadows Extension, which when finished will provide another access to U.S. 85 and Interstate 25.

More than $8 million is allocated for various water supply projects and nearly $2.3 million will go to the expansion of Philip S. Miller Park in 2015.

The owner of a $300,000 house will pay about $40 a year in property tax, unchanged from last year. The only cost increase for residents is an average 82 cents on their monthly water bill, which will help fund long-term water projects.
