A pair of water leaks caused problems with Tuesday afternoon’s rush hour.
The first occurred on Broadway, just south of East Belleview in Englewood. According to Denver Water, a leak was discovered at about 9 a.m. Tuesday morning. Repairs limited northbound traffic to a single lane for much of the afternoon. At about 9:30 p.m., officials said the road would be opened by 11 p.m.
Another crew repaired a service line leak at 1225 South Federal Blvd. Denver Water said that during the repairs one lane will remain open in each direction on South Federal Boulevard between West Louisiana Avenue and West Mississippi Avenue.
Denver Water said patching the road would likely last until about 11 p.m.; the company said it was unsure what caused the leaks in either case.
