This year had , but the overall gaming industry was a fractured place — at best.

Colorado gamers can regain a sense of camaraderie, however, at the 2014 Colorado Video Game Holiday Party on Saturday, Dec. 20. The event, which takes place from noon-6 p.m. at the , will take over the lobby with a meet-and-greet mixer (local craft beer, popcorn and more will be available) and group gaming sessions on the big screen in one of the theaters starting at 2 p.m.

Meet local developers, test your gaming trivia, enter the raffle or just smack down your friendly opponents in a game of Super Smash Bros. or Mario Kart.

Oh — and did we mention the party is free?

Jet Ternlund, president of the expo’s sponsor, Limn Interactive, is expecting 100-200 attendees, so .
