
1 Vomit-covered drunk terrorizes movie theater. Employees and patrons ran, hid or tried to fend off the attacks of a drunken, extremely angry man on Dec. 5 at the Olde Town Theater, 5550 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada. The suspect’s girlfriend watched as he yelled obscenities and challenged anyone he could find to a fight. Punches were thrown at a manager before the wannabe-brawler cornered another employee in the bathroom. Police found the vomit-covered couple a few blocks away. She was sent to detox and he cussed out police while being arrested.
2 Crack-smoking parolee assaults woman. A parole officer sent police to the 7400 block of West 84th Way, Arvada, on Dec. 5 after getting a phone call from a woman who said her parolee boyfriend had assaulted her. The boyfriend became angry after the woman hid his shoes so he couldn’t leave to smoke crack. He choked, punched and threatened to kill her.
3 K-9 unit hunts down drunken abuser. A police K-9 was used Dec. 4 to locate a man who had fled in the 5500 block of Newland Way, Arvada, when police arrived on a domestic violence call. The suspect had been drinking in violation of a protection order and accused his girlfriend of cheating. She tried calling 911 and he slapped and choked her before smashing a hole in the wall.
4 False reporting. A man gave police a false name after trying to navigate away from a patrol car that pulled behind him on Dec. 6 in the area of Sheridan Boulevard and West 66th Avenue, Arvada. He was arrested for that and a warrant out of Englewood.
