The Las Vegas of the Ozarks will once again be easily accessible for Denverites.

Branson AirExpress, operated by Elite Airways, on Tuesday announced nonstop service between Denver International Airport and Branson, Mo., starting in April.

Branson — with its somewhat chintzy and undeniably diverse main attractions, including , a , and a — is a popular vacation destination.

Frontier Airlines used to provide Denver-Branson service — even increasing service to daily flights in February — but the route was canceled as part of the company’s restructuring.

Branson AirExpress will offer flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with introductory one-way rates of $159.

“That routing is perfect for the leisure traveler that wants to continue to come to Branson,” said Jeff Bourk, president of Branson AirExpress. “We believe Denver will be a strong market for us and we are pleased to bring this service to town.”

Flights will be in a 50-seat CRJ-200 aircraft, Bourk said.
