A family safely escaped a fire that broke out early Christmas morning in the bathroom of a town home, authorities say.
The small electrical fire started at 7:21 a.m. Thursday at a third-floor town home at Villages of Curtis Park, 1170 29th St., said Mark Watson, Denver fire spokesman.
The fire caused extensive smoke damage but did not burn a significant amount of property, Watson said.
Firefighters had the fire out within 15 minutes and spent most of the time ventilating the home. No one was injured by the fire.
No other families in the complex were displaced from their homes.
