Arson investigators are still working to determine what caused a late Monday night that left a firefighter with minor injuries.
The fire started about 10 p.m. on the 1800 block of 13th Avenue. Arriving crews found heavy fire showing from the front of the building.
The blaze was reported by a passerby.
“By the time the chief got on the scene, a good chunk of the building was on fire,” said Lt. Mike Pylar, a spokesman for the Denver Fire Department.
The blaze was extinguished about 12:15 a.m. Roughly 50 firefighters responded to the fire.
The injured firefighter was treated on scene and released.
Pylar said the building, which appeared to be vacant, partially collapsed.
