No more excuses, Coloradans who haven’t yet tried snowsports. January is , and that means newbies can snag some ski deals at Colorado resorts.

Colorado Ski Country USA has put together a list of are offering this January. Two deals stood out to me:

Copper Mountain:, equipment rentals and lift tickets, plus a season pass upon completion of the third lesson, so you can keep riding. Several resorts offer this as a perk for buying a series of lessons, but this is the least-expensive package on the list.

Crested Butte: New skiers and riders can get a lesson plus a limited day-of-the-lesson lift ticket . Not bad considering a standard adult lift ticket is $103 at this time of year.

Vail Resorts is offering in January as well. Packages for Vail and Breckenridge top $300, but Keystone has a buy-two-get-one-free package of for $262. First-timers can also get a limited-access lift ticket for $15 with any beginner lesson.

There are few cheap ways to ski, but some of these package deals take a little bit of the sting out of the price tag … and knowing that while you’re learning, you might .
