According to , the average ticket price on the second-hand market for the game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High is $348.27, and it will cost $121 to get in the gate with no seat. The cheapest roundtrip flight from Indianapolis to Denver, according to , is $354. And hotel prices range from $80-$259 a night for three-star hotels.
Which means, a trip to Denver from Indy to see Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning face off from your own seat while staying at a three-star hotel for the night could cost anywhere from $782.27-$961.27. And that’s not including beer and food and all the football game necessities.
But perhaps fans should be grateful. The cost of seeing the Panthers in Seattle or the Cowboys in Green Bay is even higher. Here’s the breakdown for the other three games:
For Saturday’s Ravens-Patriots game is the average ticket price $390.96, and it will cost $140 to just get in the gate. The best rountrip ticket from Baltimore to Boston is $261, while three-star hotels range from $114-$176 a night. The full trip, with a night at a three-star hotel at a seat at the game, will cost you $765.96-$827.96.
For Saturday’s second game, between the Panthers and Seahawks, the average ticket is currently $368.04, with a price tag of $158 to get in the gate. The cheapest airfare from Charlotte to Seattle, per Priceline: $662. Average cost of three-star hotel: $80-$129 a night. Total cost, with a seat: $1,110.04-$1,159.04.
For Sunday’s second game, between the Cowboys and Packers in Green Bay, you’re looking at an average ticket price of $323.71, with $187 to get in the gate. Cheapest airfare from Dallas to Green Bay: $1,295. Range for three-star hotels: $269-$414. Total cost for one night and a seat at the game: $1,887.71-$2,032.71.
You must really love Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo to pay that kind of money.
