New Colorado State football coach Mike Bobo announced on Monday that he had hired Ricky Logo, the defensive line coach at the University of Houston, to serve the same role with the Rams.
Logo spent the last three seasons at Houston, joining the Cougars’ staff in 2012 after a year at Furman.
The Cougars capped their 2014 season with a 35-34 victory over Pittsburgh in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl to extend their record to 8-5, while allowing only 20.6 points per game.
Logo, a native of Santa Ana, Calif., played at North Carolina State, where he helped the Wolfpack to four consecutieve bowl games and earned All-ACC honors in 1992, his senior season.
In addition to Furman and Houston, Logo had coaching stints at Tennessee-Chattanoog, Western Carolina, Vanderbilt and Troy University, where he worked with current Broncos defensive end DeMarcus Ware and Falcons defensive end Osi Umenyiora.
